Capsule Hill is made by Donish AI. We think the best messages arrive at the right moment: a note to yourself before a big exam, a letter for a friend's graduation, a birthday surprise written a year early.

So we built a small, friendly place to write those letters, seal them and wait. No feeds, no followers, no likes. Just your letters and a hill that grows while you wait.

Questions

Do I need an account?

Yes, but there's no password. Enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code to sign in. Your capsules are saved to your account, so you can see them on your phone, laptop or any other device.

Can I open it early?

No, not even you. Until the day and time you picked, the capsule only shows a countdown. That's the fun part.

Where is my letter stored?

In your Capsule Hill account, on our server. It's locked until the opening time, so the site won't show it to anyone before then, including you.

How will I know when it opens?

We email you the moment it's ready to dig up. If it opens more than a week after you bury it, we also email you 3 days before. You can add a reminder to Google Calendar right after you bury it, too.

Can I send a capsule to a friend?

Yes. Choose "A friend" and add their name and email. They get an email right away saying a capsule is waiting for them, and another one when it opens. They sign in with that same email to dig it up. If they're new, the code creates their account.

Can I make a capsule with my group chat or class?

Yes. Make a group in the Groups tab and share its invite link in your group chat. Everyone who joins shows up in the group. When you write, choose "A group" and send it to everyone or just the people you pick. Each of them can drop in their own letter until it opens, and it opens for all of you at the same time.

What are capsule seasons?

A few times a year (New Year, back to school, graduation and your birthday) there's a limited wax seal and capsule design you can only get during those weeks.

Where do my old letters go?

Once you open a letter, it moves from My hill to Past letters, where you can read it again anytime.

What happens if I leave a group?

The group is gone for you, and so are capsules from it that you haven't opened yet. Letters you already opened stay in your Past letters. The same happens if an admin removes you.

How do I delete my account?

Tap your name at the top, then Delete my account. It permanently deletes your login and all of your data: your capsules, your letters, your place in groups and any messages you sent us. It can't be undone.

What if someone sends me something mean?

Tap Report under the letter and tell us what's wrong. We review every report, and accounts that bully people get suspended. You can also tap Block. Then you won't get capsules from them anymore, and they aren't told. Letters with threats or slurs can't be buried in the first place.

Who can read my letter?

On the site, only you and the people it's addressed to, and only after it opens. Letters aren't end-to-end encrypted, so treat it like a postcard and leave out passwords or anything truly secret. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
